COOP Coin

COOP is the reward coin in our rental software. It lives on the Aptos Blockchain. It can be traded, sold, burned for points, or passed down to heirs.

Supply​

Unlimited

Mechanics​

COOP increases in supply when a tenant makes an on-time payment for a booking.

COOP decreases in supply when they are redeemed for a points increase on a Silver Pass.

Utility​

COOP can be redeemed to increase the points balance on a Silver Pass. 1 point is gained per 1 COOP redeemed. When COOP is redeemed, it is removed from the global supply.

At the moment, there is no plan to allow COOP to be able to pay for nights.

Reward Terms​

Any on-time payment made before check-out is qualified for rewards. COOP is rewarded 1:1 for USD paid towards the booking, subject to a nightly maximum:

  • 1 bedroom: 18 COOP/night

Example: Tenant books and pays for $50 night x 7 night stay in a 1 bedroom unit. They are rewarded with 126 COOP (18 COOP X 7 days).

Example: Tenant books and pays for $15 night x 7 night stay in a 1 bedroom unit. They are rewarded with 105 COOP due to the 1:1 reward ratio.

Why 18 COOP/night?​

The idea is to create a ceiling on rewards per month around 500 COOP per bedroom. This gives a timeframe of 15 years to accumulate enough COOP to redeem for 100,000 points. We believe this is fair considering the value of a Gold Pass.
